The Friends we Keep by Jane Green

Jane Green has been one of my favorite authors for years. She is one of the authors that actually got me interested in reading back in the day and I am forever grateful for it. Her novels as known to move readers, make them take a deeper look at their own lives, and generally warm their hearts. While I didn’t particularly find this one to be heartwarming, I was moved by her writing style and the way she made friendship the most prominent aspect of this novel.  In the Friends We Keep readers will meet Evvie, Maggie, and Topher. After meeting at university, they become inseparable friends which much to their astonishment, lasted a lifetime. There are many ups and downs, years of non communication, […]

Her Best Friend’s Secret by Anna Mansell

Her Best Friend’s Secret is an excellent read, one that kept me entranced for hours. I actually devoured this book in one day because I needed to know the secret that lay hidden between these women’s lives. Told in alternating POV’s, readers will get in depth knowledge into the psych of all four friends. These ladies are relatable, realistic, and wonderful to get to know. Some aspects of the story though aren’t pretty, but it’s nice to see that flaws effectseveryone.  This is my first Anna Mansell novel and it certainly won’t be my last. If you enjoy women’s fiction novels- those that revolve around friendships, secrets, and some betrayal, this is a must read for you. I know many readers are going to really […]

Bridesmaids by Jane Costello

I know this is an older title but I feel like it would be a disservice not to tell people how freakin awesome this book is! I found myself laughing out loud almost the whole way through. I loved the girls in the novel, how the story revolved around weddings, being a bridesmaid (and never the bride), and friendship. There is a bit of drama towards the end (which was very unexpected), but this book is an all around good read despite this. The only problem with this novel is that it’s not available as an eBook. I think this really sucks because many people ONLY read eBooks these days because they are super easy to just download when your in the mood for a […]
