Love—on the rocks….

The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.

Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together.

Just when this runaway bride has nowhere left to turn, a handsome stranger offers her a broad, muscular shoulder to cry on. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessmen she's normally drawn to. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and is facing his own crossroads. But Lydia's already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong--maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?

Kylie Scott blends the perfect amount of humor and heart in her latest novel, Dirty. This book is fast faced, filled with amazing characters (both the main characters Vaughan and Lydia) and the secondary characters (whom I hope all have their own books) and it downright hilarious! I don’t know how I was never introduced to this author before because clearly, she knows what readers want in terms of heart-melting romance. I can’t wait to see what else she has to offer with her other novels; which I went ahead and purchased based solely off of this one. Yup… I loved it! If you’re looking for a smooth and entertaining read that is not only filled with sexy moments but serious love than I highly recommend picking up this book. Now, it should be said that this book is of the “insta-love” type, but everything about it seemed too real and genuine that this doesn’t even seem to matter. So definitely pick up this book if you haven’t already!

So, what is this book about?

This book starts off by introducing us to Lydia who has just found out that her soon to be husband has been cheating on her. With a man. A man that she knows. A man that he has been close with all of her life. And she feels completely and utterly horrified because she had no clue her fiancé was gay. To make matters worse? She finds all of this out on the DAY OF HER WEDDING because SOMEONE sent her a video of her fiancé and his best man doing the dirty. YUP! Do you smell the drama? I did! Anyway, Lydia ends up escaping from her botched wedding and finds herself in a moment of insanity because she hides out in her neighbor’s bath tub. Now, this wouldn’t be so weird if she KNEW this neighbor. But, she didn’t. So when he ends up showing up in the very bathroom that she is hiding in her day gets a bit worse. Because she suddenly becomes a voyeur as he is stark naked and getting ready for his shower. Can you say LOL. Because I laughed very hard in this moment. Utter perfection! Normally in situations like these ones would expect the neighbor to get all mad and calling the police but sooooo. He stands there stark naked as she has to explain just why she is hiding in his tub… And things get interesting because instead of ratting her out to her family, friends, and the police, he asks her to stay. And things certainly heat up from there…. So what will come of this totally insane meeting between two strangers? Will Lydia survive the betrayal of her “almost marriage”? And will Vaughan (the sexy man next door) teach Lydia a thing or two about truth and love? You’ll have to read to find out!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Seeing as I haven’t read a book by the author in the past I wasn’t sure what to expect and I was a little skeptical jumping in because many of the romances out there fail in the “unique” category. But this one pulled me in and didn’t let me go. Now I can’t wait for the next Dive Bar novel and I can’t wait to read the Stage Dive series either (which features some sexy rockstar). SQUEE. Read it. It’s GREAT!!!!
