My Rating :
Players gotta play.
Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.
So does doubt.
Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn’t true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can’t help but be tormented with the endless what-if’s that have taken over our lives.
Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened… and my past?
It’s coming back to haunt me.
To haunt us.
Romeo says we’re in this together and right now the only sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed? The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk.
Romeo is a #player but how much of the game can one person play?
I freakin LOVE this series. It is definitely my favorite new adult/college series and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE. Also, on a more important note, Romeo and Rimmel are my all time favorite book couple. Like EVER. Gosh, the love that exudes from these characters is amazing! SQUEE! So happy to have found this amazing series. I simply cannot get enough!
Anyway, book is the 3rd in the series and they must be read in order as the first three books are Romeo and Rimmel’s story. In this one, the relationship gets more serious but so does the drama surrounding the previous attack they endured AND their families. Mixed in with the beautiful love story that will make any reader swoon is a bit of suspense as well, this book will bring you so much excitement and a little anxiety. After all, readers will become so invested in these characters (like I have) that they won’t want ANYTHING to stand in their way.
Overall, this is an easy 5 star read for me and anytime I am in a book funk I know I will experience the most intense and beautiful story if I pick up a Cambria Hebert book. So you should totally read this series. You won’t be disappointed!
