From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a new second chance standalone romance.

One word.

It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.

That was seventeen years ago.

I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.

Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.

This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken . . .

Please Note: This is a series of standalone novels and can be read in any order.

Say You’ll Stay is a lovely, second chance romance. It is also emotionally charged, angsty, and sweet. I know, this is quite the mix! Readers who dive into this one will feel a range of emotions because it not only depicts a tragedy, but also overcoming this tragedy in the only way the characters know how. In all honesty, this one has all the feels that I was looking for. Taken together with the beautiful ending, this is definitely a book that readers will want to pick up (if you haven’t already). I do have to admit though that I wish there was more to the story because some of it felt a bit unfinished (hence, the 4 stars) but everything did wrap up in a satisfying way and I will definitely be reading the other books in the series. Can I also mention this cover? How pretty is HE! ::swoons::

Zach and Presley come from a small town in Tennessee and fell in love at a really young age. But fate stepped in when Zach got the opportunity to play pro ball and the two ending up breaking up because the long distance was too much. Fast forward a few years and Presley has settled down with a new man and her lovely twin boys. Everything for Presley is seemingly perfect. After all, she has a wonderful husband, a job she has always dreamed of having, and two children. But when tragedy strikes and Presley is forced to move back to the small town she ran away from all those years ago, fate steps in again… And it brings her face to face with the one man she never wanted to live without.

The Characters
Presley– She is definitely one of those heroines that I enjoyed reading about. She is strong, tough, and real. Her reactions and feelings after being hit by tragedy were well placed and honest which is something I really admired.

Zach– He is definitely one of those hero’s that stole my heart! He is strong, capable, totally handsome (if you go by the cover), smart, affectionate, down to earth, and sweet. He knows what he wants and he goes after it! I loved Zach and I wish his story didn’t have to end but I look forward to reading his brothers stories next!

Final Thoughts
Overall, I really did enjoy this book. While I am still fairly new to the author (I have only read one of her books before) I will certainly be going back and reading her other series because she has a way of bringing these characters to life. She also knows how to write a book with raw emotion . Gah, this one totally took me on a rollercoaster ride! Obviously, I recommend this book. It’s really beautiful!
