Kira Dallaire is desperate.

Some challenges in life seem too hard to overcome. With little money, and even fewer options, the quick-witted and vibrant twenty-two-year-old needs to reinvent herself. Known for her generous heart and impulsive personality, she devises a survival plan, possibly her most outrageous idea yet.

Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope.

Some obstacles in life seem too hard to overcome. Betrayal definitely being one of them. With limited capital, and dwindling resources, he is attempting to resurrect his failing family vineyard, a self-imposed vow seemingly destined to fail. That is until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish, unexpected proposition impossible to refuse.

What begins as a temporary business arrangement, soon evolves into more as vivacious, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself. But as their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, they'll realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb, and that lies and deception rarely precede a happily every after.

As Kira and Grayson race toward their destiny, they will discover that some vows are meant to be broken, and others are worth risking everything for . . . even your very own heart.

“She was everything to me: my dreams, my weakness, and the person who made me want to be strong. She was the one woman who showed me that I mattered, that I was wanted. That I was enough.”

This book is one of those contemporary romances that immediately suck you in. It’s truly hard to turn your eyes away from the pages because the story is so pure and beautiful. I really enjoyed reading this one and I look forward to reading more from the author in the future. I have now become an instant fan girl of Mia Sheridan.

For me, this story really touched my heart. Not only do both characters; Kira and Grayson, come from heartbreaking family lives, but both somehow survive their shattered hearts and manage to find love. This love is so unexpected, so bewildering, and so beautiful. When reading the synopsis and the first few chapters some may think that both are greedy. They are after all, coming together for money. However, there is so much more to the story than this sense of greed and once you overlook it you will find a beautiful tale of forever love. This story will touch your heart, reach into your soul, and make you believe that love doesn’t have to be ordinary. This is a wonderfully written book that all romance fans should dig into. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

“Marriage is like wine. They both mature slowly and grow deeper and more complex with time.”
