Sarai was only fourteen when her mother uprooted her to live in Mexico with a notorious drug lord. Over time she forgot what it was like to live a normal life, but she never let go of her hope to escape the compound where she has been held for the past nine years.

Victor is a cold-blooded assassin who, like Sarai, has known only death and violence since he was a young boy. When Victor arrives at the compound to collect details and payment for a hit, Sarai sees him as her only opportunity for escape. But things don’t go as planned and instead of finding transport back to Tucson, she finds herself free from one dangerous man and caught in the clutches of another.

While on the run, Victor strays from his primal nature as he succumbs to his conscience and resolves to help Sarai. As they grow closer, he finds himself willing to risk everything to keep her alive; even his relationship with his devoted brother and liaison, Niklas, who now like everyone else wants Sarai dead.

As Victor and Sarai slowly build a trust, the differences between them seem to lessen, and an unlikely attraction intensifies. But Victor’s brutal skills and experience may not be enough in the end to save her, as the power she unknowingly holds over him may ultimately be what gets her killed.

This is their story…

Well there you go, I am officially hooked to this series. Killing Sarai is bk. #1 in the Company of Killers series. It follows the aftermath of Sarai’s kidnapping from a cold and calculating drug lord. Sarai, finally able to escape the clutches of this man by hiding away in an assassin’s car could never have imagined what would happen to her life after she fled. Falling for the man who would kill at the drop of a hat never crossed her mind. Revenge though is now what she lives for even if she doesn’t know it yet. Is it because of being in the company of Victor has changed her? Or is this need to kill a product of her blood? There is really only one way to find out and Victor takes it upon himself to figure it out even though he shouldn’t be with this woman.

Reading book #1 tells me that this series is HIGHLY addicting. I fell hard and fast for Victor and I look forward to seeing what happens with his character in book #2. Eeekkkkkk. I absolutely loved this book. It is jam packed with action, suspense, romance, violence, and mind f*uckery. Although it should be said that this is not your average romance <3. Redmerski really outdoes herself by making the “bad guys” (who readers typically hate) lust worthy. I also found myself loving Sarai—she is a very complex character AND extremely interesting as far as protagonists go. Like I said, I can’t WAIT to read the rest of the series. Once you pick it up be prepared to keep it in your hands until the story ends. Even then you may find yourself NEEDING more and getting number 2.

Genre:Thriller… Mind F*ckery. Need more genre 😉

Overall Rating:

Would I Read Again: Yes, I just can’t get enough. I am officially HOOKED.
